It’s that time of year!
The craziness of multiple parties, food overload and frantic last minute gift organising has well and truly descended on my house.
When we get a quiet moment together, my husband and I murmur to each other…just think….this time next week we’ll be almost on the road. It’s saving my sanity, that visual in my head. The Red Rocket – as my two young boys call it – packed to the rafters, the radio on, the clear blue skies around us and the slip of miles under our wheels…. aaah.
Today I feel like we’re halfway up the mountain we need to climb in order to get in to that car. Progress! In the mean time, I will relax enough to enjoy catching up with friends, my family Christmas lunch and the milestones of celebrating my baby finishing kinder and my oldest romping in the end of Grade One. Yep, I will! Promise. Any moment now. When I look back over the year, I’m a little dizzy with all that’s happened, but proud of our accomplishments.
Not least of the things I am proud to be part of this year include my wonderful writing group – The Melbourne Romance Writers Guild.
To celebrate our upcoming anthology A Taste of Romance – released on Valentines Day in the new year, we are running an awesome give away.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays and stay tuned for bigger and better things in 2017 – including a sneak peak at my short story that will feature in the anthology, Return to Redwood Valley. You can read about the inspiration behind this story (funnily enough inspiration seems to strike while I’m on holidays!!) in a fabulously named interview The Devine Miss Jess!
